Six months!!

These past 6 months have FLOWN by! I can't believe that Wyatt and I have been married for six months! That's crazy to me! It seems like just yesterday we were walking out of the temple together. At work the other day, someone reminded me that I will have been married for 6 months and that they no longer considered me a newlywed!! As sad as that is, I believe it's true! Especially in our ward, it seems like there is someone new every week. Couples that have only been married for 2 weeks or something. I can't believe that I am reach the end of the beginning in this new chapter of my life! So many things have happened this past six months it's crazy!
First I guess I could mention we got on apartment! Our very first place! It's cute and we love it. I know I've mentioned it in one of my other posts, but it's worth mentioning again. this was when we got the Key!

Then I guess I should mention our first semester being married. Okay, I know people say this all the time, but this semester has really been so quick! I have not had a quicker semester! I took some really fun classes this semester, one of my favorites being floral design. My least favorite being sewing, solely because I thought I wouldn't survive it.

Wyatt played in an football team at BYU with his friends, he did great, and really enjoyed it :) I'm glad I got married to an active person, he makes up for my lack there of :)

We had our first Halloween together! We were the Birds and the Bees! We went to a ward party, a party with some friends, and we visited my old roommates, and some of my other friends, It was definitely a lot of fun!
We said bye to my brother Marco, who joined the Navy. We were sad to see him go, but we are trying to keep up our writing to him. He's a great kid and we are SO proud of him!

We've loved hanging out with our family. One of our favorite things to do is just go to our families houses and watch TV, or just be with the family. That was a lot of fun! We also went to see the Blindside with Thomas and Alex. It was fantastic!

We went to see TWIGHLIGHT, a day earlier than it came out with my brother Hoss :). Alex got his mission call!! He is going to the Texas... mission. He leaves march 28? We are so proud of him and excited for him!

BYU won the U of U VS. BYU game. Wyatt's dream come true! needless to say he was a HAPPYboy. He was SO excited, he ate the grass on the field when he rushed it. It was definitely a happy day for my husband. Unfortunately I didn't go to that game, I was sick, but here are some pictures from others! (and a picture I stole off of my sister-in-laws blog. :)

We've gone camping together with both families! That was fun :) camping when you are married is SO much better than going when your single :)
We survived our first week of finals together! Here is a picture of our celebratory lunch!
We bought our first christmas tree, and set it up! (Yes that is pictures of us on the tree, we didn't have christmas ornaments!) and put presents under it! Yay christmas is SO close!
Last but not least, we celebrated our six months together! We went to Olive Garden to celebrate. I can't believe how incredibly lucky I am to be married to Wyatt! He is my best friend. I am the happiest luckiest girl in the world. Thanks to the gospel and temples, I will be for ever and ever!! for Eternity I love you dear and I am SO happy we married.
I've reached the end of the beginning chapter of my married life. I can't believe were not newlyweds anymore! (well to some people we still are) Time flies when you are having fun with your best friend.

UVRMC Pediatrics

I realized today while I was playing around with my blog, that I hadn't even mentioned my job. In case you didn't know I work at the Provo hospital (aka. Utah Valley Regional Medical Center ) I am a nurse assistant in the Pediatric Unit. I have worked there for a year and a half now, and wow has been an experience! I have ran around loopy with the other night staff at 3 am. I've colored on the windows of room, played hopscotch, blown bubbles, and wiped many tears and boogers. So many little people have touched my life, I never knew how much I LOVED kids! (don't get any ideas I'm not pregnant, nor am I working on it) I have had the opportunity to be asked out on my dates from little boys ranging from the ages of three to six. Had my hair braided by cute little girls. (did some hair braiding myself) I have even been called "Mommy" on two or three occasions :) I love the people I work with, they are all great! I love the patients, they're cute! I'm so happy that the Lord has given me the opportunity to work in Pediatrics, because it ROCKS!
Below are some pictures, actually lots. Enjoy?

Here is our Playroom, I've spent LOTS of time in here :)

These dogs are "therapeutic" the kids love them, and as you can see, so do I

Dennis, now Dennis is one of my favorite parts of my job! He's the only male nurse I've worked with, and he is a HOOT! He always has something funny to say, always complaining about being the only male staff member in Pediatrics. Funny thing is that kids LOVE him! I mean he gets Christmas cards and presents from patients that left years ago. Anyways, there's something special about Dennis, we all love having him around. He's great. (this is him drawing on the windows of patient rooms, he often times draws really weird things... his latest weird drawing was a pumpkin pooping out pumpkin pie, gross huh?) (The window crayons were a gift from one of our patients, they wanted Dennis to be do something with his time or something :)

...and this is me drawing on the windows too. :)

This is Anne, I work with her probably more than I work with anyone else. She's normally the Charge Nurse. She always knows how to keep her cool in crazy situations. (which happen A LOT) I'm always happy to see her name on the board, I enjoy working with her and love her to pieces! By the way, I did that to her hand!

That was posted in the employee bathroom :)

I found this picture online when I did a a search on google for the provo hospital. The picture came attached to an article written about Child life specialists. I work with three of these, one that I actually met just today. They are part of the staff that makes Peds SO much fun!

The hospital

I LOVE my job! So lucky to have it!
